A place for everything and everything in its place. Nice in theory, but there are always a few odds and ends that just won't fit into a neat category. I don't care how many cute bins, shelves, cubbies, Space Bags, or "the last organization products you'll ever need" that you possess; everything doesn't necessarily have a place. I don't care WHAT the professional organizers say!
Since I recently had more insulation added to my attic, I took the opportunity to reorganize and get rid of a lot of stuff. This isn't the first time I've undertaken a big organization project and it won't be the last. Let's face it. Our lives our always changing and so is our stuff and our need for certain kinds of stuff. More than once, I have organized my stuff so well that I can't find the particular stuff I need - what seems logical and intuitive during the organizing process apparently isn't as logical and intuitive when you're trying to find the whatzit that you need RIGHT NOW.
I donated three big loads of stuff to charity. I recycled lots of metal, cardboard, and paper stuff. Some of the stuff I had to sort through belonged to my late husband. That was the most difficult part of the purge, but it was also therapeutic. I don't need all that stuff to remember him by. So now my attic is unstuffed - except with insulation. And isn't that a good thing?
And now, for something completely different - I wonder what kind of blooms this plant will produce?
